Announcing the Partnership of IFI and IFLA

In June of 2012, Shashi Caan, President of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers and Desiree Martinez Uriarte, President of the International Federation of Landscape Architects, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between IFI and IFLA.

In support of reaffirming the specific characteristics of each organization and the professional skills of their members, IFI and IFLA express the wish to pursue the promotion of interiors and landscape architecture as a means of highlighting the importance of environmental context as a factor for improving the overall well-being of communities.

IFI and IFLA will encourage joint initiatives that correspond to the professional goals and ambitions of their members.

IFI and IFLA propose strategies, actions, and recommendations to be submitted to their respective Councils with the purview of encouraging a collaborative evolution. Each organization will invite its partner to be represented at events of common interest that are hosted periodically.
